Duties
- Maintain the overall appearance of the golf course by performing landscaping tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and planting.
- Operate and care for irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and prevent dry spots or overwatering.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for turf management, aeration, fertilization, and other maintenance activities.
- Assist with the installation and upkeep of course features including bunkers, greens, fairways, and roughs.
- Conduct routine inspections of the course to identify areas needing repair or improvement and perform necessary maintenance tasks.
- Support gardening efforts by planting new greenery, pruning trees and shrubs, and managing pest control measures.
- Collaborate with team members to execute daily maintenance schedules that uphold high standards of course quality.
Skills
- Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques including lawn care, gardening, and horticulture principles.
- Experience operating irrigation systems and troubleshooting related issues.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, as well as power tools like trimmers and blowers.
- Knowledge of turf management practices including fertilization, aeration, and pest control.
- Ability to follow safety procedures when handling equipment and chemicals.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to course upkeep.
- Good physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
