As the People Business Partner USA, you’ll be the key HR partner for our US managers, driving operational excellence, anticipating people topics before they escalate, and building a high-performing, engaged, and scalable organization. Be the trusted People Partner to our US managers
- Partner closely with US managers to anticipate people topics across teams before they become issues: engagement, performance, team structure, and growth.
- Coach and advise managers through complex or sensitive situations (performance management, team dynamics, compensation, or career development).
- Help leaders structure and scale their teams, defining the right roles, ownerships, and success criteria.
- Own and operate payroll for all US entities: no delays, no errors, full compliance on salary, benefits, and bonuses.
- Lead all People admin topics with speed, accuracy, and clarity: respond to critical queries within 1 hour, medium priority within 6 hours, and lower priority within 24 hours.
- Keep all systems (HiBob, Notion, Slack) 100% accurate and reliable: org charts, policies, and team data fully updated at the end of each day.
- Lead process improvements across HR operations: automate manual flows, evaluate new tools, and leverage AI or integrations to improve speed and precision.
- Lead on contracts, amendments, and probations with rigor and speed; ensure zero missed follow-up or compliance gaps.
- Ensure performance cycles (scorecards, feedback cadence, reviews) are tracked, updated, and respected.
- Act as the HR reference for both employees and managers on policies, compensation, and development pathways.
- Co-lead the HR operations roadmap to improve tools, processes, and cross-market scalability.
- Monitor market insights on compensation, benefits, and culture trends across the US to keep sunday competitive and compliant.
- Identify engagement levers across the US team and partner with managers to design meaningful rituals, recognition, and growth opportunities.
- Represent sunday’s culture locally and ensure our values (simple, trust, beyond) are visible in how we work and lead.
- Act as a sparring partner to managers: challenge thinking, bring clarity, and help them make people decisions faster and smarter.
- 5 years of experience in HR Business Partnering or People Operations, ideally in a fast-scaling or tech environment.
- Deep understanding of US employment law, payroll, and benefits.
- You combine operational excellence with a strategic mindset: you can both “do” and “think ahead.”
- Strong coaching and advisory skills, comfortable challenging managers with empathy and clarity.
- Excellent judgment and discretion when handling sensitive topics.
- Data-driven, systems-oriented, and constantly improving processes.
- You thrive in fast-paced environments, across time zones and cultures.
