Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting patrons, serving ice cream and taking orders
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently
- Handle reservations and waitlist management using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments at the cashier station
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
- Provide exceptional guest service by answering questions about the menu and restaurant policies
- Assist with guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette
- Support serving staff as needed to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Uphold hospitality standards and foster positive guest relations throughout each shift
Skills
- Previous host/host experience preferred, especially in food service or restaurant environments
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, including clear speaking and active listening
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Professional phone etiquette and courteous demeanor
- Knowledge of hotel or guest services experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude
