- Process payrolls for multi-state employees in accordance with established payroll schedules
- Review payroll data for accuracy, including earnings, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, overtime calculations, and application payroll policies
- Audit payroll reports prior to transmission to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Process off-cycle payments, bonuses, commissions, and final pay in compliance with state requirements.
- Process employee status changes, new hires, terminations, direct deposit updates, and other payroll-related transactions.
- Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and payroll documentation.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or delegated by leadership.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience required; healthcare or hospice experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements
- Experience with payroll systems (Paycom, ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar)
- Proficiency in payroll reporting and reconciliation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Certification preferred but not required
