Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Close Process
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities and locations
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee general ledger, account reconciliations, and journal entries
- Continuously improve close timelines, accuracy, and internal processes
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages to executive leadership
- Analyze financial results, variances, and key performance indicators
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with finance leadership
- Prepare and monitor debt covenant calculations in accordance with lender agreements
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to lenders and other stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with all loan reporting requirements and proactively identify risks
- Manage and develop the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
- Partner with revenue cycle, operations, and executive teams to support business initiatives
- Assist with system implementations, process improvements, and scaling efforts
- Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
- Experience in healthcare services, ideally multi-site physician practice or dermatology group
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Demonstrated experience with debt agreements and covenant calculations
- Experience managing multi-entity accounting environments
- Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
