Job Description:
We're seeking a skilled and passionate Escape Room Builder to join our team. This position involves field fitting and installing custom millwork and game pieces, turning creative visions into tangible, exciting escape room adventures. We fly into all locations outside of Florida and besides your personal effects, you will only be required to pack your toolbelt and a few small hand tools, all power tools are shipped from site to site. You will have to bring: Tape measure, tool belt, torpedo level, razor knife, nail punch, retractable pencil holder and speed square in your checked luggage. It’s basically a jigsaw puzzle of custom 1 of 1 casework and MDF wall panels that we are installing. First store is in Brooklyn, flying out the 14th.Trade show experience a triple plus
Key Responsibilities:
• Work in collaboration with a dedicated team to build and install custom escape room designs at various locations.
• Perform precise in-field modifications to custom millwork and game pieces, ensuring each installation fits uniquely designed spaces.
• Utilize specialized carpentry skills for tasks including trim work, casework installation, and making custom adjustments to millwork.
• Engage in tasks requiring the lifting of materials over 50lbs and perform overhead work for extended periods.
• Operate a table saw for rip cuts, install vinyl and sheet flooring, and handle other carpentry-related tasks with proficiency.
• Apply knowledge of scale and sound carpentry principles to ensure the durability and quality of installations.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in casework installation and finish/trim carpentry.
• Ability to travel frequently by airplane without issue, initially working 10 days on-site with 20 days off, transitioning towards a 20-day work month by year-end.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces and collaborating effectively with a small team.
• Proficiency in using laser levels and performing precision tasks.
• Compliance with company dress codes and the ability to bring required hand tools to job sites.
• Passion for creating new and exciting spaces, with attention to detail and creativity.
