Director of Capital Markets

Position Overview:

The Director of Capital Markets will play a key role in expanding the firm’s investor base and sourcing fundamentally strong acquisition opportunities. This position requires a self-starter with deep industry connections, strong capital-raising abilities, and a keen understanding of commercial real estate markets. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between investors seeking strong returns and opportunities aligned with the firm’s investment strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Equity Raising

• Develop and maintain relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, smaller institutional investors, and private equity partners.
• Create and present investment proposals, offering memoranda, and performance reports to prospective investors.
• Manage the full fundraising lifecycle - from prospecting to closing commitments.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure investor communications, due diligence, and reporting are timely and accurate.
• Attend and represent the firm at investor conferences, networking events, and industry forums.

Deal Sourcing & Acquisition Support

• Identify and pursue new acquisition opportunities that align with the firm’s investment criteria.
• Build relationships with brokers, developers, and property owners to source off-market and value-add deals.
• Conduct preliminary financial analysis, market research, and feasibility assessments for potential acquisitions.
• Collaborate with the acquisitions team on underwriting, due diligence, and transaction execution.
• Maintain a pipeline and tracking system for potential investment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or MSRE preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, capital markets, or real estate investment.
• Proven track record in raising equity for commercial real estate projects or funds.
• Strong network within the real estate investment community.
• Deep understanding of real estate financial metrics, investment structures, and market trends.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
