A full-time School Psychologist position is available for a contract assignment located onsite in the New Orleans, LA area. This role supports schools within the Jefferson Parish school district, working Monday through Friday in alignment with the school calendar. The position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, typically 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Qualified candidates will hold an active Louisiana DOE certification and must successfully complete a drug screening and fingerprinting as part of district credentialing. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 22, 2026, serving an age group and caseload to be determined.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to support student learning and well-being
- Collaborating with educators, families, and staff to develop and implement effective interventions
- Providing counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Maintaining up-to-date records and reports in compliance with district guidelines
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to individualized education programs (IEPs)

- Experience working with school-aged children and adolescents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
