A full-time Sign Language Interpreter opportunity is available to provide dedicated 1:1 interpreting services at an elementary school setting. This contract position spans the entire school year, offering a consistent and impactful role supporting students' communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, accurate 1:1 sign language interpreting services to support students’ access to educational content and social interactions.
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and staff to ensure effective communication and inclusion in the classroom.
- Facilitate communication between Deaf or hard of hearing students and their peers and teachers.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting assignments.
- Adapt interpreting style and strategies according to the student's developmental level and classroom environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with demonstrated interpreting experience.
- Experience working in an educational setting, preferably with elementary-age students.
- Strong understanding of educational terminology and child development.
- Ability to work one-on-one with students requiring individualized support.
