Schedule/Hours:

• Arrive the Thursday before your start date to ensure completion of an employee health appointment on Friday.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure with strong skills in Med Surg Oncology.
• Proficiency in independently administering a variety of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and injections in accordance with provider orders.
• Competency in accessing and maintaining port-a-caths, PICCs, and Hickman catheters; venipuncture and dressing changes.
• Experience monitoring detailed intravenous therapy records and swiftly identifying unusual patient responses.
• Adept at patient and caregiver education regarding disease processes, treatment plans, side effects, and nutrition/activity adjustments.
• Proficient with Epic EMR.
• Knowledge of hazardous drug handling, safe administration and disposal, and PPE use.
• Commitment to policy compliance and maintaining a safe treatment environment.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver thorough clinical care for assigned oncology patients in an 18-bay, semi-private environment.
• Verify informed consent prior to chemotherapy administration.
• Initiate emergency protocols and coordinate with oncology providers as needed.
• Maintain meticulous and timely patient records.
• Carry out additional related duties as assigned.
