An opportunity is available for experienced registered nurses to provide expert care in the Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) during night shifts. Placement within the unit will be based on your specific critical care background, welcoming those with trauma and EPIC system experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients with a focus on acute and trauma care
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and manage patient care with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Records system (preferably EPIC)
- Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Work every other weekend and some holidays as per the scheduled shifts, with set schedules
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current New York State RN licensure
- Certified in BLS with the ability to maintain recertification
- Minimum of 1.5 years recent acute care experience within the past 2 years in a hospital setting comparable in size and trauma level
- Proven experience working with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred
- Background in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center nursing highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
- No history of professional license suspension, certification issues, or professional liability claims
- Legal right to work in the U.S., successful pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check
