Exciting opportunity for an experienced RN-ICU to provide specialized critical care in a dynamic Level II Trauma Center ICU. This travel assignment is located in De Pere, WI, offering exposure to a multi-specialty ICU environment focused on high-acuity neuro, post-cardiovascular surgery, medical/surgical, and trauma patient care. Ideal candidates will bring at least 3 years of critical care nursing experience and possess the specialized skills required to manage complex patient populations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert nursing care to high-acuity ICU patients, including those recovering from neurological and cardiovascular surgeries, excluding pediatrics, burns, and transplants.
- Manage advanced critical care procedures such as tracheostomies, ventilators, chest tubes, vasoactive drips, procedural recoveries, and temporary pacemaker monitoring.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including intensivists and mid-level providers to provide continuous patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records.
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with hospital protocols.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience in a high-acuity setting.
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Proficiency in managing CRRT and neuro patient care is preferred.
- Experience with trachs, vents, chest tubes, vasoactive drips, and temporary pacemakers.
- Ability to function effectively within a team utilizing EPIC, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis systems.
