Provide professional nursing care in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting located within a hospital environment. The role requires delivering comprehensive patient assessments, administering treatments and medications, and closely monitoring patient conditions with timely communication to physicians and nurse practitioners. Candidates will manage admissions and discharges, assist with activities of daily living, and perform specialized care such as gastrostomy tube management, urinary catheter care, nebulized treatments, wound vac therapy, CPAP care, and tracheostomy care.
This contract position accommodates varied 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, demanding flexibility and adaptability in scheduling. Candidates must be prepared to begin with an onsite employee health appointment the Friday before the start date and must physically be present on the island at that time. It is essential to possess or obtain an active Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment, with travelers required to initiate licensing upon acceptance if not already licensed.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Hawaii (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Experience in Rehabilitation or Long Term Care nursing
