PACU Registered Nurse - Roseville, CA

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years PACU RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Registered Professional Nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care is needed for a contract position in Roseville, CA. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures, with a focus on continuous assessment and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and patient input.
• Collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care across all age groups, including neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Conducting patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and managing any complications or adverse reactions during the postoperative period.
• Implementing teaching and discharge planning as integral parts of patient care.
• Delegating certain nursing care tasks to other staff based on their clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
• Ensuring documentation is thorough, accurate, and timely.
• Advocating for patients needs and comfort throughout the recovery process.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with certification or experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing.
