This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Post-Surgical care, providing essential patient-centered services within a dynamic healthcare setting. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive nursing care by assessing patients from admission through their stay, collaborating with patients and families to develop and update individualized care plans as needed.
Responsibilities include administering IV medications, managing IV therapy, and handling blood and components following clinical protocols. Competency in patient restraint and seclusion care is required, alongside maintenance of current BLS certification.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license (Candidates with licensure flags or prior employment at the facility are ineligible)
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred, particularly in Medical-Surgical or Post-Surgical nursing
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Demonstrated competency in restraint application, seclusion procedures, and patient monitoring under these conditions
- Ability to comply with facility policies, including the mandate to live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility location
Schedule and Location:
- Contract position based in Brunswick, Maine
- Up to 16 hours of orientation (unpaid)
- Contract duration: 13 weeks with possibility of up to 3 shift cancellations by the facility
- Candidates must not be previous employees and must have a clean professional background without recent actions on their nursing license
