We are seeking a Service Center Manager to lead and grow our transformer reconditioning and repair operations in Spokane, Washington. This role offers the unique opportunity to oversee a newly expanded facility, build high-performing teams, drive operational excellence, and play a key role in supporting critical power infrastructure across North America.


Located in Spokane, our state-of-the-art operation features approximately 60,000 square feet of production space and 12 acres of yard capacity, providing the resources and scale needed to support continued growth across utility, industrial, renewable energy, and commercial markets. As our business continues to expand, we are investing in our people, facilities, and capabilities to better serve our customers and strengthen our position as an industry leader.


The Service Center Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of facility operations, including safety, production, quality, inventory management, workforce development, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. This highly visible leadership position offers the opportunity to influence strategy, implement continuous improvement initiatives, develop future leaders, and contribute directly to the success of a growing organization.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading industrial manufacturing, repair, remanufacturing, or service operations, driving operational improvements, managing growth initiatives, and developing high-performing teams. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to creating a culture centered on safety, accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.


Safety Leadership

  • Champion a safety-first culture by setting clear expectations and leading by example.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, customer, OSHA, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead monthly safety meetings and daily safety initiatives to identify and eliminate at-risk behaviors.
  • Conduct routine facility, equipment, and workplace inspections to proactively identify hazards.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of all equipment and tools.
  • Investigate safety incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure completion of all required safety and compliance training.

Operations & Production Management

  • Lead all daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
  • Drive the successful expansion and ongoing development of the Spokane R&R operation.
  • Partner with leadership to execute facility growth plans, process improvements, and operational scaling initiatives.
  • Develop and sustain performance standards for productivity, quality, safety, cost, and delivery.
  • Remove operational obstacles that impact production schedules or customer commitments.
  • Lead weekly production and planning meetings with supervisors and key stakeholders.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts and communicate potential impacts to leadership.
  • Ensure effective utilization of shop space, yard capacity, equipment, labor, and inventory assets.
  • Maintain production tracking metrics and operational reporting to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

Financial & Business Management

  • Analyze operational and financial performance data to identify opportunities for increased profitability.
  • Forecast monthly revenue and support budget planning activities.
  • Manage facility operating expenses while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Review and approve purchase orders and operational expenditures.
  • Partner with Sales, Inventory Management, and Operations teams to maximize capacity utilization, reduce lead times, and improve margins.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives and customer expansion opportunities.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure product quality consistently meets company and customer requirements.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Lead root cause investigations related to quality concerns and operational issues.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify and execute process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve throughput.
  • Standardize work practices and operational processes to drive consistency and scalability.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing team focused on accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of trust, open communication, engagement, and continuous learning.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and production employees.
  • Build organizational bench strength and succession plans to support future growth.
  • Ensure employees receive adequate technical, operational, safety, and leadership training.
  • Manage employee performance, document deficiencies appropriately, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Partner with Human Resources and leadership to support recruiting, retention, and workforce planning initiatives.

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Ensure proper tracking and accountability of inventory, materials, and finished goods.
  • Optimize storage utilization within warehouse and yard areas.
  • Maintain understanding of transformer classifications, salvage values, and reconditioned inventory management practices.
  • Support inventory accuracy and asset utilization initiatives.

Customer & Vendor Relations

  • Manage key customer and vendor communications related to operations and project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong working relationships across the organization to support operational success.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete payroll and labor transfer activities accurately and timely.
  • Ensure all employee certifications remain current and compliant.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by Corporate Leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, repair, service, heavy equipment, transformer, electrical equipment, or related operations.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Prior experience leading facility start-ups, expansions, relocations, consolidations, or operational transitions.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, inventory control, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing operational and financial performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience within transformer manufacturing, transformer repair, electrical equipment, utility services, or industrial services industries.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certification.
  • Experience managing large-scale operational growth initiatives.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and waist to shoulder on a regular basis.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the facility.
  • Frequently bend, squat, kneel, and climb.
  • Climb ladders and maintain three points of contact while working at heights.
  • Work in industrial environments that are not climate controlled and may involve exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
