Engineering Work Order Review & Configuration Analyst

The Engineering Work Order Review & Configuration Analyst is responsible for reviewing and validating technical information submitted by the Commercial team to ensure specifications are accurate, complete, and achievable within established engineering and manufacturing processes.

This is a full-time, onsite position working during regular business hours, with some overtime required based on business and production needs. The primary location for this position is Solomon, KS; however, Sunbelt Solomon is open to candidates who reside at one of our service center facilities in Solomon, KS; Sharon, PA; or Decatur, TN. The successful candidate will work onsite at the service center location where they reside.

This position serves as a key technical resource between Commercial, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations, helping ensure work orders are properly configured, documented, and released for production. The role requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge, and the ability to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact production or delivery.

• Review work orders flagged by the Salesforce configurator for all applicable locations, validating information and specifications submitted by Commercial partners.
• Verify that technical requirements, configurations, materials, and specifications are accurate, complete, and achievable within the applicable engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain detailed job files and update SYSPRO with accurate shop instructions, technical information, and parts allocations.
• Prepare production binders, when required, including fabrication drawings, tank layouts, and other applicable technical documentation.
• Ensure job files, production books, and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and properly archived.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Operations to communicate and resolve special requirements associated with individual orders.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned areas, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to Commercial partners prior to order entry to help ensure product specifications and configurations are accurate.
• Review Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for specialty parts and coordinate with the Service Center Purchasing team regarding the sourcing, ordering, and stocking of required components.
• Perform nameplate verification to help ensure product information is accurate prior to production and delivery.
• Serve as a final quality-control checkpoint, when designated by leadership, to verify that products are manufactured and shipped according to approved specifications.
• Identify discrepancies, configuration issues, or missing technical information and work with the appropriate departments to resolve them before production.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation throughout the work order process.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to work order configuration, documentation, quality, and production readiness.
• Work onsite during regular business hours and provide overtime support as needed based on business requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
