Duties

• Construct residential structures using hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, siding, roofing, and trim carpentry.
• Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, painting, insulation, and general labor.
• Install doors, cabinets, fixtures, flooring, tile, siding, and other finishing elements with precision.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed by practicing power tool safety and proper heavy lifting techniques; maintain a clean and organized job site.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of construction experience with a strong background in residential carpentry and remodeling projects.
• Proficient with hand tools such as saws, hammers, and chisels; power tools including drills, saws, and sanders.
• Familiarity with heavy lifting procedures and safety standards related to power tools and construction sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail; ability to interpret specifications for diverse projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Good and consistent work ethic.
• Must be proficient in the use of power tools.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to various job sites around Grant County. For jobs located in Gila & Mimbres, a daily gas allowance will be provided with weekly pay.
• Must have no drug or alcohol issues. Use of drugs or alcohol of any kind before or during work hours will result in immediate dismissal.
• One to two years minimum experience in the construction field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to interact positively with clients.
• Must have common sense safety skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry 60 pounds. Candidates must have no preventive or preexisting injuries that would exclude them from performing this work.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
