Job Title: Operations Area Manager

Pay Rate: $72,000 – $90,000 annually 5% annual bonus upon conversion

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Location: Lithia Springs, GA (100% Onsite)

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday

• Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM ET

• Potential schedule adjustment to 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM ET

• Occasional mandatory overtime may be required with advance notice

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Area Manager to oversee warehouse and distribution operations in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, team performance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will lead daily operations while managing approximately 11 associates and 1 lead, spending most of their time on the operations floor supporting workflow execution and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain a safe, compliant, and productive warehouse environment
• Own safety performance and ensure adherence to OSHA and operational standards
• Review operational forecasts and align labor planning to meet business demands
• Manage daily shift execution to achieve productivity, quality, and delivery targets
• Balance labor and workflow requirements to optimize operational efficiency
• Ensure operations follow established standard work procedures and service commitments
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies
• Lead, coach, and develop Team Leads and warehouse associates
• Hold team members accountable to operational and behavioral performance standards
• Oversee inventory control, material flow, and product traceability processes
• Ensure accurate receiving, inventory transactions, processing, and on-time shipping
• Maintain operational documentation, reports, and performance metrics
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues
• Support and manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Oracle processes
• Ensure housekeeping, equipment inspections, and workplace standards are maintained

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of warehouse or distribution operations experience
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience managing hourly teams
• Strong operations and leadership background in fast-paced environments
• Experience with safety compliance and OSHA regulations
• Experience managing labor planning and operational efficiency
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and adaptable with strong problem-solving abilities
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with Oracle or similar supply chain/logistics systems
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience with inventory control and distribution operations
