Sun Valley Lodge Bell Captain

The Bell Captain leads the Bell Services team to deliver exceptional guest service throughout the day. This position oversees shuttle coordination, deliveries, and guest assistance, ensuring that every interaction meets or exceeds Sun Valley’s service standards. As a senior member of the Bell Services department, the Bell Captain plays a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations and fostering a welcoming, professional atmosphere.

Duties & Responsibilities:  

• Supervise and delegate daily tasks to Bell staff, ensuring timely and professional completion.

• Coordinate shuttle operations, guest deliveries, and luggage assistance.

• Manage airport transportation logistics, including guest registration, flight updates, and shuttle scheduling.

• Greet guests warmly, assist with check-in/check-out, valet parking, luggage handling, and traffic flow.

• Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution and guest satisfaction.

• Maintain guest confidentiality and uphold company policies and legal standards.

• Support interdepartmental communication with Front Desk, Concierge, Sales, and other teams.

• Coach team members, reinforce service standards, and administer discipline when necessary.

• Answer phones courteously and assist guests with inquiries.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate company vehicles required.

• Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field required.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve guest issues effectively.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic computer systems.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/handle luggage.
• Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
