Sun Valley Resort is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to support both our Preschool and Winter Camp programs for children ages 2–5. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on young children’s growth through creative play, structured activities, and exceptional guest service. The successful candidate will split time between assisting with preschool programming and leading recreational winter camp activities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preschool Support

Implement daily lesson plans and maintain classroom schedules in coordination with the lead teacher

Prepare materials and equipment for lessons and activities

Support each child’s intellectual, social, and emotional development

Maintain clear and positive communication with parents, coworkers, and leadership

Assist students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce concepts or complete assignments

Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization

Ensure compliance with all applicable school and state regulations

- Winter Camp Leadership

Supervise and engage children during winter camp activities such as snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding, nature adventures, and bowling

Collaborate with the team to plan and lead age-appropriate recreational programming

Ensure all children’s physical and emotional needs are met, including personal care support

Foster a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for all campers

Maintain cleanliness of recreational areas and equipment

Serve as a positive role model, encouraging participation and good behavior

Qualifications:

Experience working with young children in educational or recreational settings

Passion for early childhood development and outdoor adventure

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to remain calm, positive, and proactive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Must be physically and emotionally capable of engaging in active play, lifting children, and spending time outdoors in winter conditions

Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and split shifts as needed

Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally

Preferred: Current U.S. Driver’s License
