Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Sun Valley's Procurement team is seeking a summer seasonal Shipping & Receiving Clerk. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will work closely with all operational departments to receive, distribute, and maintain inventories and goods throughout the company. These departments may include recreation and activities, administration, accounting, hospitality, food and beverage, marketing and sales, and mountain operations. Other departments may also need distribution assistance. This position reports to the Director of Procurement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Take daily inventory count of all shipping & receiving goods of the Company
• Distribute inventories and goods such as guest packages, tradeshow equipment, convention packages, and food and beverage products
• Receive and store orders from distributors in assigned storage areas; organize and check items received for delivery locations or storage instructions; pass off appropriate packing lists, invoices, or relevant paperwork to receiving and purchasing management
• Check product weights and quality, store perishable items in appropriate areas, and assemble, deliver, and store orders at proper locations
• Maintaining company assets (delivery vehicles, equipment, storage areas and products)
• Maintain the Company stockroom by organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items
• Prepare regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
• Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
• Give excellent and friendly service to all internal company employees, external company representatives, and guests

Qualifications:

• The ability to communicate effectively with all individuals internally and externally
• Working flexible and extended hours as needed
• A current U.S. driver's license is required
• Ability to lift 50 - 75 lbs
• Possess knowledge of applicable state and local liquor serving rules and regulations, preferred
• Handling pressure by the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers to check merchandise
• Reach/bend/twist and stoop/kneel/crouch to place merchandise in storage areas; lift/lower and push/pull merchandise from floor level to overhead; tolerate outdoor hot and cold temperatures
• Always follow and practice Sun Valley Resort’s driving policy
• Ability to drive in inclement weather conditions and pass the Sun Valley Driver's training course
