Job Title: Manufacturing Operator

Duration: Expected to be a 6 months contract with the possibility of extension.

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Pay Rate: $25 - $28

Work Shift: Monday to Thursday. (5:00 AM to 3:30PM)

Required Skills:

• Basic Math skills
• Basic Computer knowledge
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (pharma preferred)
• Some heavy lifting (25kg)
• Batch making, Blending mixing, dry powders
• Batch records, SOP
• It will require the candidate to wear an air powered respirator (Tyvek hood and Tyvek suite).
• This person must have Tablet Compression Experience. This is a MUST.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Responsible for the execution of daily tasks associated with the manufacture of pharmaceutical products, including but not limited to the set-up of equipment, the performance of manufacturing steps according to formula and the disassembly and cleaning of equipment.
• The employee shall also demonstrate the ability to understand and execute manufacturing directions presented in Standard Operating Procedures and Manufacturing Batch Records in compliance with a GMP environment.
• Assists in the training of other Operators and possesses the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process related problems.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/mechanical environment.
• Experience in a GMP environment is preferred
• Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials)
• Must have basic literacy in English
• Must have basic mechanical aptitude
• Must demonstrate the ability to perform basic math functions
• Understands the logical sequence of events and processes and its impact on products
• Must regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 35 pounds unassisted, and occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds assisted.
• Employee must be able to sit/stand regularly for long periods of time.
• The position will be required to wear respirator in some processes. Other requirements include stooping and reaching to perform various job tasks and movement of skids using a pallet jack applying 30-75 lbs of force. Employee will frequently climb step ladders/platforms.
• Makes productive use of idle time, assists others, requests additional work, initiates and/or directs actions with little or no supervision
• Training – Line operation and batch records process documentation
• Understands the logical sequence of events and processes and its impact on products
• Computer systems and SAP knowledge must be able to process electronic batch records and all associated transactions in SAP
• Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
• Strong communication skills with all departments
• Able to work as part of a team and adapt to changes in work duties
• Good observation skills and attention to detail
• Maintains up to date communication with supervision
• Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication with all departments, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
• Successfully trains other Operators on equipment and processes. Assure that the team members have the necessary training to effectively participate on the team
• Ability to lead the team to achieve production goals. Recognizes and celebrates team and team member accomplishments and exceptional performance
