What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUD COUNSELOR - CERTIFIED position at Sun Street Centers?
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with adults in the alcohol and drug addiction field.
Must be familiar with Medi-CAL & ASAM criteria and EHR (Electronic Health Records) via AVATAR. Approved amount of time in continuous sobriety. State alcohol/drug counseling certification required.
DESCRIPTION
Provide intake services and acquired approval for client’s services through Medi Cal and private insurance. Maintain alcohol and drug counselor status. Ability to conduct intake and assessments, including treatment plans for individuals. Serving the special needs of program participants and individuals. Facilitate group for participants in an outpatient program. Activities are designed to support environmental change for individual recovery in a Social Model setting using evidenced-based curriculum (Matrix).
NOTE: Employees will be required to be fingerprinted, screened for tuberculosis, health screened for fitness of duty as well as fingerprinted by the Department Of Justice.
