Position Purpose: The Real Estate Loan Processor is responsible for preparing, processing, and disbursing real estate loans while managing an active pipeline of both pre- and post-funded loans. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all loan files, while supporting members and internal staff with exceptional service. The Real Estate Loan Processor also oversees escrow account activity and partners with internal teams to deliver seamless loan processing aligned with organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Process real estate loan applications from initial application through post-funding.
- Order, review, and clear supplementary loan documents such as title reports, flood certifications, and property appraisals.
- Manage a pipeline of real estate loans, ensuring all required documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable regulations.
- Obtain and process underwriting conditions from Loan Officers and/or members.
- Administer the credit union’s escrow portfolio, including escrow analysis, insurance, and tax payments as needed.
- Support internal and external loan audits.
- Partner with other credit union departments to provide accurate information and support for real estate transactions.
- Represent the Credit Union professionally and provide consistent, positive member service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Experience & Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
- Four to six years of mortgage loan processing experience.
- 2 years of experience delegated underwriting with Fannie Mae required
- At least one year of customer service experience

- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
- Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
- Some travel may be required.
