POSITION SUMMARY:
We are in the people business. At Sun Community Federal Credit Union, our vision is to build lifelong relationships, help our members achieve their dreams and deliver exceptional member service. As a branch manager, you will direct all operational aspects of the day-to-day activities of the branch, member service, employee relations, administration, and sales. You will provide training, coaching, development, and motivation for branch staff. Develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans. Manage branch expenses to budget. Be a contributor in the development of strategies and process improvements as well as represent SUN to the people in the community you serve.
ESSENTIAL DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a branch, including member service, human resources, administration and products and service sales.
- Leads staff performance utilizing SUN’s strength-based management model, StandOut. Supports the uniqueness of each team member to achieve individual and team success.
- Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
- Develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans.
- Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and Sun Community FCU.
- Meet mutually agreed goals and metrics.
- Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately.
- Mentor, encourage and challenge branch personnel with a message of continuous improvement in processes and skills.
- Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
- Share knowledge with other branches and branch administration on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and performance gaps.
- Address member and employee satisfaction issues promptly and collaboratively.
- Maintain high ethical standards based on SUN’s values and Vision and Strategic Plan. Comply with all regulations/applicable laws that govern the CU industry.
- Stay up to date with competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A college degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of five years’ management experience in a financial institution.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proven branch management experience, as a branch manager or similar role
- Expertise in establishing business and community partnerships, establishing SUN as a trusted partner in the community.
- Ability to lead and develop staff using mentorship techniques in a “people focused” culture.
- Successfully drive monthly sales targets and production goals.
- Familiarity with industry’s rules, regulations, and oversight
- Organizational skills
- Results driven and people focused.
- Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percentages.
- CUNA Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor.
WORKING CONDITIONS
