Position Summary

The In-School Therapist provides behavioral health services to students in the school setting through assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention. This role works collaboratively with families, school staff, and other providers to support students' emotional well-being, academic success, and overall functioning while maintaining compliance with all clinical and regulatory requirements. This position is a 30 hour-per-week commitment during regular school hours throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to students in the school setting.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.
• Collaborate with students, families, school staff, and other providers to coordinate care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment recommendations as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and confidentiality standards.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment that promotes student well-being and success.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Ability to provide individual, family, and group therapy services to children and adolescents.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with school personnel, families, and other providers.
• Knowledge of clinical assessment, treatment planning, and behavioral health interventions.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical practice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing behavioral health services to children, adolescents, or families.
• Experience working in a school, community-based, or outpatient behavioral health setting.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.

Compensation

$45.00 per hour
