The PM Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing the production team on the assigned shift while ensuring safety, food safety, product quality, accurate HRIS/timekeeping documentation, and efficient use of resources. This role plays a critical part in maintaining continuous improvement and performance standards across the facility.
2. Key Responsibilities
Safety, Food Safety & Quality

Ensure all employees follow established safety, GMP, and food safety standards at all times.

Verify adherence to BRC and internal quality system requirements.

Conduct and document quality checks including labeling, traceability, product specifications, and traveler packet accuracy.

Identify and report nonconforming materials and ensure proper containment and corrective actions.

Maintain clean and organized work areas consistent with housekeeping and sanitation standards.
Shift Leadership & Production Management

Assign and adjust labor daily to meet production demands.

Clearly communicate job specifications, work priorities, and production goals.

Provide ongoing coaching, support, and direction to employees and shift leads.

Ensure necessary materials are prepared in advance to minimize downtime.

Monitor shift performance and escalate operational or staffing issues as needed.
Continuous Training & Performance Development

Maintain and update training records, ensuring that every operator is trained and signed off on equipment and procedures.

Identify training needs and skill development opportunities for employees.

Conduct performance reviews for shift employees in alignment with company review cycles and expectations.

Support cross-training to increase operational flexibility and strengthen workforce capability.
Quality Documentation & Compliance

Ensure completion and accuracy of all quality logs, sampling records, and operator documentation.

Verify that product identification and traceability are maintained throughout production.

Support internal audits, customer audits, and corrective action processes as required.
HRIS / Time & Attendance (Payright)

Review and approve timecards, schedule changes, PTO/attendance coding, and exception notes in Payright.

Document coaching conversations, corrective actions, and performance discussions.

Partner with HR on performance management, recruitment feedback, and employee support needs.
3. Secondary Responsibilities

Participate in HACCP, safety, or audit teams when requested.

Support inventory accuracy through proper labeling and material flow.

Provide relief support in trained production areas as required.

Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
4. Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience; supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Strong understanding of production flow, quality control, and GMP requirements.

Demonstrated ability to train, guide, and develop employees.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Proficiency in basic computer applications; ability to learn and use Payright for workforce management.

Ability to lift materials per workstation specifications.
