Production Field Lead – Oil & Gas
Location: St. Clairsville, OH area
Schedule: 5/2 rotation, 8–12 hours per day
Pay: $40–$45 per hour, based on experience
Employment Type: Contract; 1099 arrangements may be considered
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Production Field Lead to oversee daily oil and gas production operations, coordinate field personnel and contractors, and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong production operations background who can manage field activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, communicate effectively with management, and hold teams accountable for safety, quality, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of assigned wells, production facilities, and associated equipment.
- Coordinate field personnel, contractors, maintenance activities, and daily work priorities.
- Monitor production volumes, well pressures, equipment performance, and operating conditions.
- Operate and troubleshoot production equipment, including compressors, dehydration systems, separation systems, GPUs, VRUs, and related equipment.
- Utilize SCADA and production monitoring systems to identify issues and improve operational performance.
- Communicate daily production updates, equipment issues, downtime, and maintenance needs to management.
- Maintain accurate production reports, operational logs, and required documentation.
- Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Identify operational risks, resolve field issues, and escalate significant concerns when necessary.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across field operations.
- Qualifications
- Previous oil and gas production experience required.
- Prior experience in a lead operator, field lead, or supervisory role preferred.
- Knowledge of production equipment, gas compression, dehydration, and facility operations.
- Experience with SCADA and production reporting systems preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to coordinate personnel, manage competing priorities, and work independently.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
