Production Lead- 3rd Shift

Job Overview

We are seeking a 3rd Shift Production Lead to oversee manufacturing operations during overnight hours. In this role, you will lead a team of production associates, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The 3rd shift lead will drive continuous improvement initiatives, uphold quality standards, and maintain a safe working environment.

Duties

• Interpret blueprints and job orders to workers, and assign duties
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Monitor safety standards in production areas, enforce safety protocol adherence, and conduct regular safety audits to prevent accidents
• Monitor workers use of SPC system.
• Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
• Operates lift truck, weighs parts on scale and completes necessary paperwork.
• Training performed for this role with be completed on 2nd shift.

Skills

• Proven experience in factory or manufacturing facility operations with a strong understanding of production workflows
• Skilled in using measuring instruments for quality control purposes
• Ability to interpret production documents accurately and follow detailed instructions
• Strong leadership skills managing production teams with a focus on safety and productivity
• Technical proficiency in operating manufacturing equipment and understanding mechanical systems
