- Maintain accurate student participation records and documentation as required.
- Participate in debriefing sessions and surveys with Summer Reading Camp teachers, assistants, students, and parents.
- Some daily supervision of students during Summer Reading Camp may be included.
- Attend and participate in required orientation/training provided prior to summer camp.
- Other responsibilities as required by the Summer Reading Camp Administrator.

Position Title: Summer Reading Camp Integrated Literacy Lab Teacher
Salary/Pay Scale: $6,150
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, supplemented by at least one (1) year of teaching or instructional experience working with elementary students. Experience in science, social studies, or mathematics instruction is preferred. Must possess a valid Teacher certificate from the South Carolina State Board of Education or have experience supporting elementary instructional programs. Must possess a valid state driver's license. Previous experience working in summer learning programs or facilitating hands-on learning experiences is preferred, but not required.

Description: Under limited supervision from the SRC/CERDEP Administrators and the Academic Department, the Summer Reading Camp Integrated Literacy Lab Teacher will provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences for students enrolled in the R2S Summer Reading Camp. The Integrated Literacy Lab is designed to help students explore literacy within science, social studies, and mathematics through inquiry-based activities and collaborative learning experiences. Instructor responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Salary/Pay Scale: $6,150 for the duration of the summer camp and to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. Quoted stipend is dependent upon full attendance throughout the camp and required training. This position is temporary and is limited to the duration of the R2S/CERDEP Summer Camp 2026.
At a minimum, staff must be available on the following dates:

A minimum of seven and a half (7.5) hours of supervision per day during the Summer Camp is required. Time before and outside of the Summer Camp hours is required and is compensated within the salary computation mentioned above.
