Position: Head JV Girls Golf Coach

School: Sumter High School

Qualifications: Minimum of five years coaching experience. Must possess or demonstrate the qualifications to obtain South Carolina educator certification. Such alternatives to these qualifications as the Board may find acceptable.

Reports To: Principal and Athletic Director

Length Of Service

Rate of Pay: Based upon credentials and experience in accordance with the district-approved pay scale.

Sumter High School is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Head Girls Golf Coach. This position is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the girls golf program while promoting athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and academic success.

Responsibilities Include

• Organizing and supervising all aspects of the girls golf program
• Planning and conducting practices and matches
• Developing student-athletes' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship
• Supervising and monitoring student-athletes during practices and events
• Communicating effectively with athletes, parents, administration, and staff
• Ensuring compliance with SCHSL, district, and school policies
  
  

Qualifications

• Knowledge of golf fundamentals and coaching strategies
• Prior coaching experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively with high school student-athletes
• CDLs preferred
