Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitation across various residential spaces.
- Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met or exceeded.
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items with care and efficiency.
- Maintain floor care by performing deep cleaning of carpets, tiles, hardwoods, and other surfaces using specialized cleaning equipment.
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, appliances, or cleaning supplies safely and according to safety protocols.
- Conduct outdoor work when necessary, including patio or porch cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs, provide updates on completed tasks, and ensure satisfaction with the service provided.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in residential settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
- Experience operating various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, steam cleaners, buffers, and carpet extractors.
- Knowledge of cleaning surfaces including wood, tile, carpet, glass, and countertops.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with handling cleaning detergents safely while adhering to health regulations.
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for tasks involving exterior surface maintenance or patio cleaning.
