Job Summary:
Look at a damage vehicle and access what needs to be repaired
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess damages to a vehicle for safe operation on interstates
- Repair damaged vehicles for interstate use to meet Federal Motor Carriers Regulations
- Assess cost to repair a damaged vehicle
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required. Vocational/Technical maintenance certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years practical experience required
- Proficiency in the use of all tools of the trade including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools required
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Critical thinking
- Attention to Detail
- Dexterity with hands and arms to work with small parts in small spaces
- Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance system
- A current, valid driver’s license is required. Current CDL license with air brake certification preferred or willingness to acquire CDL
