Case Manager/Group Leader Position
Summit Youth Academy is a Residential Treatment Center located in Emmett, Idaho. We provide services for youth aged 9 - 17 in a staff secure environment. We are looking for passionate staff to help us provide best practice care for the youth we serve.
Qualifications required for the position:
Individuals must possess at a minimum, a bachelor's degree from a fully accredited college or university in social work, psychology, or counseling, or a closely related field. Or have 5 years of experience in related job experience.
General Responsibilities
· Responsible for the assessment of treatment progress, and the provision and monitoring of therapeutic or rehabilitative treatment services.
· Make available therapeutic support directly or through instruction to other staff (e.g. : case management, mediation, counseling assignments).
· Encourage and motivate groups and individuals.
· Participate in problem-solving discussions during group helping sessions.
· Establish effective working relationships with residents and staff.
· Learn and model principles and concepts of the program.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Therapeutic Education Instruction
· Provide therapeutic education classes to residents following an evidence-based curriculum. (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Anger Management, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotional Management, Independent Living Classes, ect.)
· Process group dynamics and skill building with residents and staff in a group setting.
· Maintain up to date information on mental health issues, alcohol and other drugs, and group dynamics.
Charting and Reporting
· Log personal observations of groups and individuals during classes.
· Notify appropriate personnel of any suicidal ideation/gestures.
· Ensure compliance with policy regarding confidentiality of records, charts, logs, etc.
· Complete reports/records accurately and per policy as required by supervisor.
· Facilitate communication with placement agency, parents/guardians, treatment team, and other necessary community agencies regarding individual residents' progress and status through monthly staffing.
· Complete treatment plans, progress letters, and release plans per policy and submit them to the individuals’ placement agency, necessary community agencies, treatment team, and the parents/guardians.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
