What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Summit Staffing, LLC?
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents.
- Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains general ledger accounts by reconciling A/R detail and control accounts
- Adjusting entries for amortizations
- Analyzing and reconciling retainage and A/P ledgers
- Preparing fixed asset depreciation and accruals.
What you’ll have:
- BA / BS or equivalent degree from an accredited institution, in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience working in a small company
- 7 years of accounting experience with thorough knowledge of GAAP.
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to resolve complex issues while working with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Quickbooks
