Overview Summary

A leading aerospace manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Aerospace Mechanical Assembler to support the production of molds, tools, and aerospace components. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assembling, laminating, curing, and finishing aerospace parts while ensuring strict adherence to engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This position requires strong hands-on fabrication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble aerospace products using fasteners, adhesives, sealants, and standard fabrication tools.
  • Perform secondary bonding, potting inserts, curing, and wet laminating processes
  • Prepare molds, including sealing and applying release agents
  • Laminate and vacuum bag components according to engineering drawings and quality standards
  • Operate curing equipment such as ovens, autoclaves, and presses
  • Follow work instructions, travelers, engineering drawings, inspection sheets, and quality procedures
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues with engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times
  • Complete tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Support additional production duties as needed

Skills & Experience

  • 4 years of experience in fabrication, aerospace manufacturing, or composites production
  • Strong background in aerospace, composites, or advanced manufacturing environment
  • Experience with vacuum bagging, curing processes, and mold preparation
  • Familiarity with autoclaves, industrial ovens, and hydraulic or thermal presses
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on fabrication ability
  • Skilled in using tools such as drills, sanders, grinders, and other hand/power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering documents
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality control
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skill
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous aerospace or composites certification or specialized training (preferred but not required)
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments with strict quality standards

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced aerospace manufacturing production floor
  • Exposure to industrial equipment including ovens, presses, and autoclaves
  • Must be able to follow strict safety protocols and wear required PPE
  • Requires standing, lifting, and hands-on fabrication work for extended periods

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
