District Sales Manager

Summit Sourcing Group is seeking individuals with a background in industrial and commercial sales.  Our client is a leading independent elevator company with offices in New York City.  We are searching for people that want to make a difference in their role and have a proven track record of top performance in growing a territory, account management, increased sales volume year over year and a strong desire to provide high levels of customer satisfaction. Job Description

While these are not an exhaustive list of what you will be doing, here are some of the highlights:

• Work individually, and as part of diverse team, to help secure long-term maintenance agreements and repair orders for elevator and escalator equipment in an assigned territory
• Create targeted sales plans that identify opportunities within your customer base and put together action plans to develop a pipeline of potential sales results.
• Meet or exceeded budgeted and assigned sales objectives and customer satisfaction targets
• Be effective at overcoming customer objections and develop long-term relationships with key players in your area of responsibility
• Gain technical knowledge of your products and services through classroom or self-taught methods to become effective at explaining complex concepts to your customers in a manner they understand
• Effectively negotiate minor and major sales opportunities at all levels within an organization
• Develop and deliver presentations on complex offerings in settings of 1-20 people
• Manage challenging situations that result in positive outcomes and becoming customers’ “go to” representative for their needs in the future

Qualifications

• Your background includes experience in a technical/commercial/industrial industry and has positively impacted your company’s top or bottom line.
• You have excellent communication skills and high levels of self-motivation.
• You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dig into it or do things that may be out of your comfort zone because you are a team player and will do what it takes to get it the job done.
• You want to take on working with challenging customers because in the end, those are the ones that are the most fun to turn around and become long-lasting promoters of your work.
• This role is one that you see as a stepping stone for further opportunities in leadership.

While all of these are not mandatory, these qualifications are great to have:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• 3 years of experience in sales or account management
• Familiarity with Microsoft products, CRM tools, and SAP
