Summit Skilled Solutions is urgently hiring a Fabrication Lead to manage then daily operations of our fab shop in Greenville, GA ensuring the efficient and safe production of metal components and structures. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication of components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This position is vital to our commitment to delivering exceptional service and craftsmanship to our clients. This is a Direct Hire position starting day one with the contractor. Must live within driving distance to Greenville, GA.
Fabrication Lead Responsibilities
- Leading and Supervising: Directs and oversees the work of fabrication team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and according to specifications.
- Production Planning: Coordinates fabrication schedules, manages resources, and monitors progress to meet deadlines.
- Quality Control: Ensures that fabricated products meet quality standards and safety requirements.
- Training and Development: Provides training and guidance to team members, fostering a skilled and capable workforce.
- Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves issues that arise during the fabrication process, ensuring smooth operations.
- Safety: Ensures a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Blueprint Reading: Must be able to read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
Fabrication Lead Requirements
- 10 years in fabrication or a related field.
- 5 years experience in a Lead/Managerial role
- Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD and able to produce shop drawings.
- Some 3D design experience a huge PLUS!
- 5 years experience setting up, operating and programming various CNC.
- 10 years experience with MIG, TIG and stick welding.
- Proficient using computers/Microsoft applications
