Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking a results-driven Conveyor Site Manager to lead the on-site execution of automated material handling and sortation system projects. The initial job would start in Nashville, TN. This role ensures installations are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest safety and quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships. The Site Manager acts as the primary on-site contact, coordinating teams, managing resources, and ensuring project success.
Conveyor Site Manager Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Work with Project Managers, customers, contractors, and trades to achieve project milestones.
- Site Leadership: Delegate tasks, motivate teams, and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Scheduling & Planning: Manage manpower and maintain a rolling 4-week look-ahead schedule.
- Inventory & Logistics: Track tools, materials, and equipment deliveries.
- Documentation & Reporting: Keep daily logs, submit weekly reports, and track budget/schedule performance.
- Quality & Safety: Enforce safety standards, lead toolbox talks, and promote a culture of zero incidents.
- Commissioning Support: Assist with testing, training, and labor coordination during startup.
- Problem-Solving: Address field discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary.
- Customer Engagement: Provide clear updates and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Uphold company policies, identify change orders, and mitigate risks.
- Payroll & Timekeeping: Ensure accurate employee reporting.
Conveyor Site Manager Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in mechanical conveyor installation or similar trade.
- OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, forklift/scissor lift experience required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints and adapt to changing site conditions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and field management software.
- PMP or project management training preferred.

Conveyor Site Manager Compensation/Benefits
