Role And Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling and analysis in support of the Origination and Acquisition teams, including ground-up construction of project-level and portfolio-level DCF models, IRR/return analyses, and capital structure optimization
- Drive the development of investment theses, project opportunity screening, and due diligence across all phases of the Business Development cycle, with increasing ownership of discrete deal workstreams including underwriting and closing
- Run and refine Summit Ridge Energy's proprietary financial models to evaluate project viability, including designing and interpreting sensitivity analyses, scenario modeling, and downside case stress testing to assess and communicate key risk factors
- Manage Summit Ridge Energy's proprietary project management / CRM tool to track leads, maintain data integrity, and produce actionable pipeline reports and deal flow summaries for senior stakeholders
- Lead market research initiatives, develop and own price forecasts, critically evaluate third-party reports, and contribute meaningfully to the company's market view across multiple geographies to support origination and deal structuring decisions
- Bachelor's Degree in business, renewable energy, finance, or a related field
- 2-4 years of related work experience, including experience in investment banking, project finance, infrastructure investing, accounting, consulting, private equity, or a related financial services role
- Demonstrated ability to independently communicate financial modeling outputs, underwriting assumptions, and due diligence findings to sales teams, senior management, and external partners including consultants, engineers, and installers
- Hands-on experience building and owning complex financial models, including DCF analysis, debt sizing and sculpting, yield calculations, and sensitivity/scenario analysis, with prior exposure to solar or broader renewable energy or infrastructure transactions preferred
- Solid command of project finance and corporate finance fundamentals, including an understanding of capital stack construction, tax equity structures, debt covenants, and return metrics (IRR, MOIC, NPV, DSCR)
- Track record of thriving in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, both independently and collaboratively
- Strong organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail, with experience managing diligence processes and data rooms
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including dynamic modeling, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and large dataset management; experience with Argus, Bloomberg, or comparable platforms a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing investment memos, credit memos, or board-level presentations
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
