Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to determine siding layouts and specifications.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials such as caulking or stucco for optimal siding adhesion.
- Install a variety of siding materials including vinyl, metal, fiber cement, and other exterior cladding products with precision and care.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and safety harnesses safely to complete installations efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to construction safety regulations.
- Perform roofing repair or metal roofing work as needed to ensure the building envelope is properly sealed before siding installation.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction site safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety harnesses and ladder safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings, review project plans, and meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on siding installation or related trades such as roofing, drywall, or remodeling.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting, and fabrication techniques relevant to exterior cladding installation.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations including the use of safety harnesses, ladder use protocols, and general site safety practices.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions on construction sites or similar environments.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength such as heavy lifting and climbing ladders safely.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; a proactive approach to following safety protocols at all times.
