What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist position at Summit Physical Therapy Professionals?
We are seeking an Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team! You will evaluate and treat your patients in a 1 on 1 setting. This job can include mentoring, if desired, from a therapist with 30 years of outpatient orthopedic experience. The hours can be as flexible as you wish depending on your goals. This initially is intended to be a part time position but could quickly work into a full-time position for a motivated individual who may desire more. This clinic has had no staff turnover since inception in 2008 until now with the retirement of my colleague after 17 years of helping patients achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement physical therapy programs for an orthopedic and post-surgical patient population
- Work directly with patients to achieve maximum physical recovery
- Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and implement changes as appropriate
- Record and document patient care services via computer documentation system
- Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well-rounded care
Qualifications:
- An active Physical Therapy license in the state of Michigan
- Previous experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Ability to handle the physical workload of hands-on treatment when required
- Ability to build rapport with patients and referring physicians
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Natural curiosity for learning and improving skill
Salary : $40 - $50
