What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overnight EMT position at Summit Malibu?
Summit Malibu, a luxurious, prominent 6-bed detox/residential treatment facility is looking for an overnight EMT. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with self-administration of medication and monitoring clients throughout the night. Kipu experience and/or treatment experience is preferred. Experience with working overnight shifts is mandatory. Compensation starts at $20/hour.
Schedule: 12AM-8AM. Shifts TBD
Preferred Qualifications: Active EMT license, BLS certification or CPR/First-Aid
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Observes and monitors while all medications are self-administered by clients
- Follow detox protocols, including 30 minute rounds and knowledge of detox meds
- Medication count, management, and destruction.
- COWS/CIWA assessments
- Communicate directly with medical team
- Input doctor’s orders
- Intakes/Discharge
- Shift report
