We are seeking a passionate and innovative Language Arts Teacher to join our Summit Learning Charter team. The successful candidate will inspire our students to develop strong literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills while fostering a love of reading and writing. This position requires adaptability and a dedication to building meaningful relationships with students in both virtual and in-person settings.
Summit Learning Charter began in 2008 and has had continuous growth with a current enrollment of over 1450 students. We are a K-12 blended virtual school that is sponsored by the Estacada School District, committed to providing students with a flexible, personalized, and rigorous education that combines online learning with in-person opportunities. We are a team of professional educators who have diverse experiences working with young people.
Schedule, Compensation & Benefits
This is an employment opportunity with Summit Learning Charter.
- Duration: 192 Days for the 26/27 School Year
- Salary: $51,396-$108,164 (dependent upon verified years of experience and education as shown on official transcripts).
- Location: Hybrid between Eagle Creek school campus and home office.
- Time Off: 5 Personal Days, 80 hours of sick time.

General Description
This position will be working primarily with our middle school students, in a hybrid learning environment responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in both in-person and virtual settings. This role requires designing and implementing engaging lessons that align with curriculum standards, leveraging technology to enhance learning, and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom community. The teacher will monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners across both formats. Collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents is essential to ensure academic success and promote student well-being in this flexible, innovative learning environment.
In the hybrid working environment, staff are required to be on site at the Eagle Creek campus, 2-3 days per week depending on specific work assignments.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors in Education, Masters Preferred, Valid Oregon Teaching License and Appropriate Language Arts Credentials.
