Description:
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be a key player in fostering a positive and productive work environment. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and providing guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to fairness and ethical conduct.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations of employee relations issues, including complaints of harassment, discrimination, and other workplace misconduct.
- Analyze and interpret employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and mitigate employee relations issues.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation between employees and managers.
- Partner with legal counsel to address complex employee relations matters.
- Prepare and present reports on employee relations trends and issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs on employee relations topics.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all employee relations activities.
- Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in employee relations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA.
Working knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
Proven ability to conduct thorough and impartial investigations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Experience in conducting employee relations investigations.
Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
