QUALIFICATIONS AND POSSIBLE JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Bachelor's Degree or such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
- This position collaborates with highly dedicated school teams working with diverse learners with special needs in a variety of settings serviced by Summit ESC
- The qualified candidate will have extensive knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, developmental milestones, evidence-based practices and interventions, and functional behavior assessments, as well as experience supporting dynamic interdisciplinary teams
- Previous experience consulting to public school programs a plus
- Master's Degree and current certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred
- Conducts thorough, functional behavior assessments and develops intensive and effective behavior intervention plans
- Conducts one-on-one contact time with the child for the number of hours and programs/skills recommended
- Performs child behavior assessments and writes reports on an as needed basis
- Models, coaches and provides feedback regarding interactions, programs and behavior during one-on-one and/or group parent training sessions as requested
- Conducts positive, solution-based discussions with parents and other associated professionals
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned
- Works collaboratively with teachers, staff, and administration
SALARY: Salary schedule placement is commensurate with experience and training
