Industrial Coating Supervisor
Pay: $70,000 – $80,000 per year
The position provides leadership to coatings technicians, manages workflow, ensures safety compliance, and drives efficiency and quality improvements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the industrial coatings department
- Lead, train, and assign work to coatings technicians and support staff
- Ensure proper surface preparation, coating application, curing, and inspection
- Enforce safety, environmental, and quality compliance standards
- Monitor material usage, equipment condition, and preventive maintenance
- Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and workflow
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial coatings, painting, or surface finishing
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of coating materials, spray techniques, and surface preparation
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and safety data sheets
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required (technical or trade school preferred)
