About the role
Summex Technologies is a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) seeking a motivated Level 1 IT Support Technician to join our team embedded on-site at a client location in Exton, PA. You will be the primary on-site IT presence for a 100 user organization, providing hands-on technical support and working closely with Summex's remote engineering team.
This is a client-facing, people-first role. You'll be the face of IT for end users every day — solving problems quickly, keeping devices running smoothly, and ensuring a great experience for everyone you support.
What you'll do
- Provide walk-up and desk-side support for all end users at the Exton office
- Set up, configure, and deploy Windows laptops and desktops for new hires
- Manage Microsoft 365 user accounts — onboarding, offboarding, license assignment
- Enroll and manage mobile devices via Microsoft Intune / MDM
- Maintain hardware inventory and manage device lifecycle
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, printers, AV equipment, and peripherals
- Log and manage tickets in the Summex helpdesk system; escalate to remote engineers as needed
- Support conference room AV setup and day-to-day meeting technology
What we're looking for
- 1–3 years of hands-on IT support experience (MSP experience a plus)
- Solid working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
- Familiarity with Active Directory / Entra ID user and group management
- Experience with Intune, MDM, or endpoint management tools a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills — comfortable diagnosing hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Excellent communication and customer service skills — you'll interact with end users at all levels daily
- CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft certifications (or in progress) preferred but not required
