Facilities Maintenance

Summertown Metals is looking for a self-motivated individual to work in our Facilities Maintenance department. This person must possess knowledge of construction and electrical. This is a full time position which qualifies for benefits such as medical, dental, vision, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, LTD, life, 401K with a company match, vacation and PTO.

Job duties include, but are not limited to

• Prioritize on site building projects from start to finish in a safe and efficient manner.
• Be able to decide what supplies or tools are needed for each project and be able to determine the amount of time and labor needed for each project.
• Good communication skills – communicate with area leaders where the work is being performed to ensure minimal work distractions and downtime.
• Highly motivated to stay on task and make sure all prioritized projects are completed to their entirety. Efficient use of time and resources.
• Assist with labor trades on site and assist the teams to make sure they have the necessary items for the projects and that they clean up the work areas when their jobs are completed.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, framing, patch work
• Repair and maintain buildings around the property
• Perform preventative maintenance when needed
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
